My DirecTV Yahoo Widget simulates a remote control that supports up to 8 HRxx series DVRs from DirecTV.
The widget in it's basic form provides a graphic of the DirecTV remote control. It is available in a standard size graphic and a smaller graphic that is designed to fit on the screen of a netbook (1024x768 screen resolution).
Placing the mouse pointer on a key and clicking the left mouse button simulates pressing the key on a physical remote control.
The + and - keys for Vol, TV Input and MUTE are not functional since they control the TV volume and inputs and the widget interacts with the DVR over the network not via IR signals.
